Director of the Dutch Genomes of Holland Project visits the IMPPC

Dr Wijmenga is a member of the steering committee of the Biobanking and Biomolecular Research Infrastructure BBMRI-NL, which coordinates all the biobanking facilities in Holland.  This inlcude the Genomes of Holland (GoN) Project which studies genetic variation in the Dutch Population in much the same way that the GCAT will do for the population in Catalonia.

Dr Wijmenga explained many projects taking place in Holland and in collaboration with European and intercontinental biobanks.  She also met with Dr Perucho, Director of the IMPPC and Dr de Cid, Director of GCAT to discuss biobank networks and projects in Europe.
