GCAT HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT - EXPOSURE TO BLUE LIGHT

Blue light is a type of light that we find naturally, the main source of blue light being the sun itself, so we are exposed daily to her. There are also many artificial sources of blue light, such as fluorescent lamps, LED lamps, flat screens (computers, cell phones and tablets, etc.) or even street lighting in cities.

Due to this increasing exposure to blue light, its long-term effect of exposure in humans has begun to be studied, showing that overexposure to this type of light can lead to degeneration and fatigue of vision, altering circadian rhythms. or development of breast and prostate cancer.

There are ways to protect yourself from this exposure, such as screen filters for devices or glasses with protective glass.
